Obituary of Floyd Hamilton

Floyd “Crappie” Hamilton, age 69 passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2010 at Paris. He was born September 22, 1940 in Idabel, the son of Ishmael and Ruby Hamilton. Floyd was a supervisor at Tyson Foods before retiring in 2003. He loved to camp and fish. He enjoyed raising doves and tinkering with his tools. Floyd was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of Idabel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Peggy Hamilton; brothers, Andrew Hamilton and Donnie Wayne Hamilton; and sisters, Patsy Ruth Stewart and Doris Wood. Floyd is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ricky Bray of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Brett and Brandy Bray of Tulsa, and Josh Bray of Broken Bow; great-grandchildren, Hunter Bray, Tanner Bray and Khloe Bray all of Tulsa; brother, Richard Hamilton of Idabel; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Creighton of Oklahoma City and Betty and Dale Dutton of Edmond; a special friend, Joyce Golden of Idabel; and his beloved dog, Tippy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel with Rev. Donald Ivey officiating.
