Obituary of Ben Austin

Ben Austin, 72, of Idabel, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Paris. He was born May 1, 1938 in Idabel. Ben worked in construction where he worked as a pipeliner and truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion. Ben enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a lifetime resident of Idabel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Stafford Austin; his twin brother, Wes “Chief’ Ashalintubbi; a sister, Helen Byington; and his best friend, Walter Dale Citty. Ben leaves to cherish his memory his daughters and sons-in-law, Bendette and Don Hardwick of the Hollycreek Community, and Sheila and Eugene “Buddy” Dinger of Idabel; grandchildren, Brandon and Shalamar Dinger of DeQueen, Sabrina Dinger and Kendra Dinger both of Idabel, Kyler Storm Hardwick and Samantha Hardwick both of the Hollycreek Community; sister and brother-in-law, Helen Ruth and Ray Hester of Valliant; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
