Obituary of Bobby Whitten

Bobby Wayne Whitten, “Bob”, was born in Albany, Shackelford County, TX, on October 9, 1930. He was the fifth of eight children born to Milton N. Whitten and Myrtle Elkins Whitten. Bobby married Jane Townsend on July 23, 1956, in Hugo, OK. He died peacefully on the 16th day of October, 2017, in Idabel, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Bobby is survived by his wife, Jane Townsend Whitten, children, Mary Jane Whitten and fiancé, James Fitzhugh, Idabel, OK, Julie Whitten, Idabel, Oklahoma, Bobbie Jean Whitten, Madill, OK, grandchildren, Clark Bridges and wife, Julie, Frankston, TX, Jordan Green and fiancé, Janie May, Madill, OK, Joe Green and fiancé Sonia Torres, La Mesa, CA, and great grandson, Jace Green, Madill, OK, siblings, Harry Wilson “Sonny” Whitten and wife, Linda, Idabel, OK, and Patricia Ann “Pat” Cavender and husband, James, Pittsburg, TX; sisters-in-law, Sarah Townsend of Oklahoma City, OK, Pat Privott and husband, Norman of Yukon, OK and Carol Townsend of Clay Center, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Milton Newton Whitten, Jr. “Jack”, and four sisters, Virginia Rasp, Mary Jane Brown, Billy Jean Whitten and Dimple Sharp.
