Obituary of Rossie Knapp
Rossie Knapp, 89, of Broken Bow, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007. She was born October 13, 1917 in Haworth, OK the daughter of James and Ann Waites McCoy. Rossie was a retired teacher, having taught at the Haworth and Glover Schools for thirty-three years. For leisure she enjoyed painting and doing crossword puzzles. Rossie was of the Baptist faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Knapp; son, Carl Knapp; brother, Wylie McCoy; and granddaughter, Sondya Powell. Rossie is survived by her son, Joe Knapp of Oklahoma City; daughter, Pat Powell of Broken Bow; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Pat McCoy, and Jessie and Barbara McCoy all of Broken Bow; two sisters, Sammie Moses and Jean Jones; three grandchildren, Scott Knapp, Shannon Knapp, Scott Powell; four great-grandchildren, James Powell, A.J. Powell, Zackery Powell, and Izaak Powell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
