Obituary of Robert Smith

Robert Raymond “Bob” Smith, age 80 passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Center, Texas. Bob was born in Ringling, Oklahoma on January 10, 1937, the son of Raymond F. and Winnie L Bryant Smith. Bob spent most of his life in Red River County Texas and McCurtain County areas. He was a farmer and also drove a truck for several years. He enjoyed fishing as well as making fish nets. Bob was an avid coon hunter who enjoyed the outdoors. Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Deana D. Smith; and his sisters, Peggy and Debbie. Bob is survived by his wife, Rebekah Smith of Joaquin, TX; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa D. Lesly and John of Shreveport, LA, Winnie Lightfoot of Joaquin, TX and Satartia Smith of Joaquin, TX; sons and daughter-in-law, Ray Dean Smith and Anita of Antlers, OK Cholla Smith of Lovelady, TX and James Ray Smith of Joaquin, TX; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Wayne Smith of Clarksville, TX and Glen Smith and Linda of Valliant, OK; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
