Obituary of Charles Cochran Blake

Charles Blake, age 82 passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on September 29, 1934 in the Pleasant Hill Community, OK, the son of Buck and Bernard Blake. Charles married Margaret Blake on January 24, 1954 in Idabel, OK. Charles operated Southeast Linen Supply in the 60's. He got into the car business in the early 70's and was in it for over 30 years. Charles was one of the early members of the Idabel Country Club, helping to build the original clubhouse along with helping to plant the pine trees. He loved the game of golf and was a single digit handicap at one time. Charles was an avid pilot with over 5000 HRS of flight time. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Margaret Blake less than three months ago; and a brother, Monte Blake. Charles is survived by a son, Stewart Blake of Idabel, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Celia and Jack Webb of Idabel, OK; and numerous friends.
