Obituary of Marguerite Crowell

Marguerite Crowell, 90, of Idabel, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Idabel. She was born April 19, 1917 in Point, Texas the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Rino Havins. Marguerite was a homemaker, and for many years worked for Dr. Ryan and later Dr. Johnson at the optometry office in Idabel. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and blue grass music. Marguerite was an avid outdoors person, and loved taking care of her flowers, especially her day lily’s. She was a member of the By-Pass Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Crowell; a brother, Floyd Havins; and a sister, Helen Ruth Ebert. Marguerite is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Shelley Crowell of Paris; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Bill Anderson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; brother, Harold Havins of Lockesburg, Arkansas; sister, Betty Gregg of Burleson, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Havins of Haworth; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; special nieces, Mary Mills, Alene Harris, and Betty Ann Haugney, all of Idabel; other relatives and a host of friends.
