Obituary of Sarah Lin Whitten

Sarah Lin Whitten, age 43 passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her home in Bedford, TX. She was born on April 22, 1974 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Sonny and Linda Williams Whitten. Sarah graduated from Idabel high School in 1992 and attended SOSU in Durant then continued her education at Dental School in Tulsa, OK upon graduation, Sarah worked in the Dental industry for 15 years before changing careers to become an international flight attendant with Omni Air International, where she had many adventures worldwide with a crew of friends she loved to fly with! What others would consider work she called an adventure. Sarah traveled to 6 continents, 50 countries and circled the world 3 times, loving every minute of it! Sarah’s motto was “if you love what you do, it’s not a job!” Sarah still got butterflies when she traveled and her Daddy always tracked her plane as she traveled the world, oftentimes standing in his pasture as he watched her plane fly overhead. Sarah’s unwavering faith in God was her strength. She had a gift of loving people and she shared it with everyone, making others feel as they were the most important person in the world. Fellowship and coffee with friends was a favorite pastime of hers. She loved performing acts of service, her heart was filled with kindness for all; whether she knew them or not, her desire was always to help in any way she could. Sarah is survived by her parents, Sonny and Linda Whitten; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Magda Whitten and nephew, Tyler; her twin brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Whitten; her daughter, Josie Morris; grandson, Race Jeffery; and two beautiful God daughters, Hunter and Cydnee; a large extended family; a loyal work family and more friends than imaginable.
