Obituary of Rodger Mixon

Rodger Mixon, age 74, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home in the Cisco Community, OK. He was born on October 14, 1942 in Idabel, OK, the son of John and Novia Cooke Mixon. Rodger worked at the First State Bank in Idabel for several years. He worked at the McCurtain County Jail for the last several years. He loved taking care of his cattle in his spare time. Rodger was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Greg Mixon; and his brother, Gene Mixon. Rodger is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Turney and J.R. of Hot Springs, AR; brother, David Mixon of Arizona; granddaughter, Morgan Herndon of Hot Springs, AR; special niece, Trish Cook and Keith of Durant, OK; special nephew, Jimmy Mixon and Sherry of Nashville, AR; several other relatives and many friends.
