Obituary of Gladestine Storey

Gladestine Storey, age 98, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at her home in the Pleasant Hill Community, OK. She was born on October 17, 1918 in Hope, AR, the daughter of Andrew Allen Fuller and Lena Leoto Heflin Fuller. Gladestine was a dedicated school teacher for over 30 years, teaching at both Haworth and Tom Schools. She was known to most of her students and the community as Aunt Glad. An accomplished homemaker and a great cook she enjoyed sewing and making all sorts of crafts. Gladestine was very proud of her Choctaw Heritage and loved going to Choctaw singings. Gladestine was a member of the Haworth Missionary Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of the area. Gladestine was a wonderful and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, friend and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Storey; her son, Jimmy Allen Storey; her daughter, Wilda Forbit; sisters, Oleta Vaughn and Aurelia Ann Doan; her brothers, Eugene, Henry, Cortez, Cleatus and Sherrill Fuller. Gladestine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Lynda Storey of the Pleasant Hill Community, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Flonie Fuller; sister, Phebe Lue Heisler; son-in-law, Sinaklin Forbit of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Kim and Jim Horton, Connie and Spencer Davis, Dustin and Jennifer Roberson, Tonya Kay and Chris Chandler, Stacy and Chance Pugh, Shawn and Windi Storey, Charity Singleton and Sarah and Eddie Toon; great-grandchildren, ColtonMcDaniel, Blaze McDaniel, Rachel Horton, Rebekah Horton, Jonathan Horton, Andrew Horton, Jeremy Horton, Kayla Bacon, Kaiden Roberson, Jacob Roberson, Jenna Roberson, Whitley Storey, Shaw Storey, Jace Toon, Weston Toon, Shayann Toon, Malachi Davis, Josiah Davis, Jachia Davis, Hannah Chandler, Micah Chandler and Seth Chandler; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
