Obituary of Mona Ruth Salinas

Mona Ruth (Holt) Salinas, 64 passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on December 12, 1952 in Talihina, OK to the late Joel and Selma (Maytobe) Holt. Mona worked as a dietary aide at Memorial Heights Nursing Home for over 20 years retiring in 2015. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of Idabel. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Dyan Nicole Elliott and Faith Pena; her brothers, Kenneth, Paul, Nathaniel, Nathan and Bert Holt. Mona is survived by her sons, Felix Salinas Jr. and Heather of Idabel, OK and Leonard "Chico" Williston Jr. and Dee of Durant, OK; sisters, Juanita Lajeunesse of Idabel and Margaret and DeRoy McKinney of Haworth, OK; brothers, Melvin Maytubbie of Midwest City, OK, Joel W Holt of Octavia, OK and Alan Holt and Beth of Shattuck, OK; a special nephew, Shane Holt; her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Shanise Elliott, Darrell Elliott, Shelby Thompson and Ariyah Salinas; great-grandchildren, Aniyah Elliott, Aiyanna and Carlos Austin Jr; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
