Obituary of Bill Wilmoth

Mr. William F. Wilmoth age 80 of Oklahoma City, OK, known to all the world as “Mr. Bill,” passed away quietly on Thursday morning March 9, 2017. He was born September 18, 1936 in Idabel, OK to the late Marvin “Bo” and Aline Qualls Wilmoth. His formative years were spent in Idabel where he met and fell in love with a dark haired little girl named Sara Sue “Susie” Derryberry. Bill and Susie would take a break to start their respective families, but as fate would have it, they would rediscover each other and spend the second half of their lives loving each other and blending their two families into one. Bill spent 33 years with Montgomery Ward Department Stores and retired as a store manager. After a brief respite, he began a part-time job with Hahn-Cook-Street and Draper Funeral Home. He loved the experience and the people he worked with there. After 12 years, and with great sadness his health forced him to retire for good. Bill enjoyed several hobbies, including handicapping the horses, dancing until he was soaked with sweat, cussing at golf balls and having a cold Bud Light with friends. Bill had an infectious laugh and a nickname for almost everyone. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert M. “Bob” Wilmoth and the mother of his children Loretta Berry Wilmoth. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life Sara Sue “Susie” Norwood of Oklahoma City; children Tammy L. Wilmoth Wasinger and husband Jeff of Fort Worth, TX, Donna D.
