Obituary of Mark Alan McKinney

Mark McKinney, age 45, of Garvin, OK passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Paris, TX. He was born on January 3, 1972 in Idabel, OK. Mark worked several different jobs and trades including off-shore construction, welding, underwater welding and pipefitter. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and cookouts. He liked to travel and loved spending time with his family. Mark had lived away from McCurtain County for several years but had moved home recently after retiring because of health issues. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond McKinney and maternal grandmother, Ella Austin. ; paternal grandmother, Mulsey McKinney; aunt, Helen Byington; uncles, Benny Austin and Wes Ashlintubbi; and cousin, Chad Ashlintubbi. Mark is survived by his mother, Helen Hester and step-father, Ray Hester of Valliant, OK; brothers, David McKinney Sr. of Valliant, OK; Tim McKinney of Idabel, OK; sister, Angie McKinney-Williston of Durant, OK; six nephews; three nieces; numerous great-nephews and nieces; a special friend, Erin Perryman; his blue pit bull, Daisy; many other relatives and friends.
