Obituary of Charles Larry Smith

Charles Larry Smith Sr. age 72 passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Idabel, OK. He was born on October 17, 1944 in Avery, TX the son of Claude Lester Smith and Myrtle M Nix Smith. Larry was a 1962 graduate of Avery High School. He married Norma Magar on February 14, 1973 in Idabel. Larry worked at Provence Lime and Fertilizer for several years. He enjoyed gardening and loved to give the things he grew away to family and friends. An avid outdoorsman he liked to fish and hunt. He loved dining out with family and the time it allowed for him to spend with them. Larry had made his home in Idabel since 1986 coming from Texas. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Magel Smith, Mangus Smith and Earl Smith; and sisters, Norma Louise Murphy and Nonette Hammett. Larry is survived by his wife, Norma Smith of the home; son, Charles Larry Smith Jr. and Stacy of the Redland Community, OK; a daughter, Tiffany Kaufman and Chris of Wellton, AZ; grandchildren, John Riley White, Beau Smith and Avery Smith all of the Redland Community, oK and Benjamin Adam Kaufman of Wellton, AZ; sister, Claudene Bohlar and Jim of Brazoria, TX; special nephew and nieces, Ryan and Amy Hammett of Clarksville, TX, Kelly and Jim Wicken of San Antonio, TX and Donna and Dakota Schroeder of Brazoria, TX , several other relatives and many friends.
