Obituary of Mary Bell Williston

Mary Bell Williston, age 81 of Idabel, OK passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Paris, TX. She was born on February 2, 1935 in the Goodwater Community, OK, the daughter of Jowicks Tonihka and Fannie Going Tonihka. Mary was a teacher's aide at the Herndon School for several years and later at the George Elementary School in Idabel. After retiring she worked at the women's shelter in Idabel and she enjoyed this very much. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Family gatherings, gospel singings and fishing were some of her favorite activities. Mary was an avid sports fan, especially the Atlanta Braves and a strong supporter of her children and grandchildren when they participated in sports. Mary was a member of the Redland Methodist Church and she dearly loved her Church family. She was a lifetime resident of the Idabel area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Williston; sons, Jimmy Dale Tonihka, Jerry Williston, Robert Williston, Morris Williston and infant Robin Williston; a daughters, Evelyn Williston; a grandson, Brandon Williston; and 12 brothers and sisters. Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Bob Maye of Idabel, Rose and Kyle Campbell of Haworth, OK, Sharon and William Young of Haworth, OK, Gloria Grant of DeKalb, TX and Kathy Williston of Idabel, OK; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Denise WIlliston of Idabel, OK and James Jr. and Monique Williston of DeKalb, TX; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
