Obituary of Harvey Friend

Harvey Friend, 76, of Idabel, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at Idabel. He was born August 22, 1930 at Tom, the son of Dewey and Lucy Dollar Friend. Harvey was a saw mill worker and had worked for the City of Idabel for 17 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was affiliated with the Redland Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Geraldine in 2006; and 5 sisters. Harvey is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harvey Dewayne and Elizabeth Friend of Yukon; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Chris High of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy Sherrell of Idabel, Mason High and Adison High both of Frisco, Texas; great-grandchildren, Titus Dollar, Jasmine Sherrell, Ashlynn Baker, and Mazie Sherrell all of Idabel; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Sr. and Louise Friend of Bokhoma, Wilburn and Juanita Friend and A.D. and Lois Friend all of Moon; sister, Sandra Misener of Moon; a step-grandson, Ayden Bates of Yukon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
