Obituary of Jean Monday

Wilma Jean Monday passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her sons home in Wasilla, under hospice care. Jean was born March 4, 1938 in Redland, Oklahoma, daughter of Randolph and Elizabeth Crowell. She later met and married Otis J Monday of Idabel. Jean received her nursing degree from Kiamichi Area Vo-tech in 1982. She worked at McCurtain Memorial Hospital until 1996 at which time she retired. In 2004 Jean joined her family in Alaska, a place she had lived previously and loved dearly. She enjoyed time with her family around a good campfire, gold panning, her flowers and her exquisite sewing which won her ribbons in the Alaska State Fair. Jean is survived by her children and spouses; Keith and Laura Monday, Kevin and Kathy Monday, and Mark Monday, all of Wasilla Alaska. Grand- daughters Camoren Monday and Jerome Larson, Jessica (Charley) and John Danner and great grand- daughters Lilly and Aralie Larson also all of Wasilla. Two sisters, Mary Mills of Idabel and Geraldine and Donald Bates of Goodwater, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steve Monday in 1976, and two sisters, Betty Haughney and Aileen Harris of Idabel.
