Obituary of Mark Ezell

Mark Ezell, 52, of Idabel passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Texarkana. He was born April 28, 1955 in Ardmore, the son of J.D. and June Mobley Ezell. Mark married Susie Shoults in Hawaii on February 26, 2000. He had lived in Idabel for 13 years moving from Checotah. He was retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas where he had worked for 26 years. Mark worked very hard to improve the community in which he and his family lived. He worked on many projects that have helped improve Idabel and the surrounding area. Mark served on several boards including: Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Kiamichi Owa Chito, in which he was a former festival chairman, Idabel Chamber of Commerce in which he was a former president, Rotary Club of which he was a former president, McCurtain County Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Kids at Heart, and Idabel Main Street. Mark was a loving husband, father, and son, as well as a great friend to many. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Idabel where he served as one of the leaders of the AWANA program. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Ezell. Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Suzie of the home; sons, Joshua Ezell and Sean Ezell of the home; mother, June Ezell of Harrah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Lisa Ezell of Harrah, and Dean and Robin Ezell of Bridgeport, Texas; father-in-law, Buster Shoults of the Lukfata Community; brother-in-law, Randy Shoults of Broken Bow; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
