Obituary of Erik Harley

Erik “Chuk” Harley, age 36, of Idabel, OK passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on August 17, 1980 in Talihina, OK, the son of Mike “Bear” and Una Winship Harley. Erik was employed by the Choctaw Nation and worked as a maintenance worker at the casino in Idabel. He enjoyed fishing and supporting his children in sports. He was affiliated with the Bokchito Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Harley Williams; paternal grandfather, Roy Harley; and maternal grandparents, Anderson and Evelyn Winship. Erik is survived by his parents; sons, Thunder McKinney and Kendon Harley, both of Idabel; daughters, Aspen Harley and Caroline Harvey, both of Idabel; brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Alicia Harley of Oklahoma City, OK and Bruce Harley of Idabel; nieces and nephews, Makalyn Harley, Skyrik Harley, Candace Williams, Tyler Williams, Jaleigh Harley, Ranger Harley, and Bianca Diaz; paternal grandmother, Effielene Harley of Idabel; great niece, Aubrey Sharp; special friend, Ashton James; other relatives and many friends.
