Obituary of Virgil Harley
Virgil Wade Harley, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on June 7, 1953, the son of Leo M. and Esther Cephus Harley.
Virgil enjoyed gardening, fishing but, most of all he enjoyed driving his truck from coast to coast. His CB name was “Short Man”. He never met a stranger. Virgil loved his family and was proud to be the son of an original enrollee of the Choctaw Tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Roy Harley, Alfred Harley, Leo E. Harley and Everett E. Harley; a sister, Ruby Washington; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Virgil is survived by his children; Geneva and her husband, David Green of Harrison, AR and Skye Harley of DeQueen, AR.; sisters, Ruth Williston of Idabel, Faye Harley Stehle of Ft. Worth, TX and Amelia James of Idabel; 5 grandchildren, Corey, Andhi, Brandon, Emalee and Farissa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church with Rev. Rosa Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 3, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at White Family Funeral Home.
