Obituary of Estelle Crowell

Estelle L. Crowell, 95, of Broken Bow, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at her home. She was born July 7, 1911 at English, Texas, the daughter of John and Mary Holloway Mitchell. On October 3, 1937 she married Roy Crowell, the love of her life. Estelle was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and quilting. Children were a big part of her life. She was affiliated with the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in McCurtain County for the last 87 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Crowell; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Crowell. Estelle is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Edwin Crowell of Broken Bow and Larry and Ruby Crowell of Frisco, TX; sister, Mattie B. Abernathy of Hugo, OK; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Conley-White Chapel in Broken Bow with Bro. Mike Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery, Redland Community.
