Obituary of Edison Elliott

Edison Elliott, age 67 of Idabel, OK passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Idabel. He was born on January 18, 1949 in Talihina, OK, the son of Rev. Wadie Elliott and Ida (McKinney) Elliott. Edison married Marilyn Sue Parker on May 25, 1972 in Valliant, OK. Edison was a veteran of the US Army having served as a SGT in Vietnam. He worked as a body man at Bill's Body Shop for many years. Edison was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed trading and restoring vehicles. Edison was a longtime member of the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church. He was very active in the church and one of his favorite things was to help keep the grounds mowed. Edison loved listening to gospel music and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Edison is survived by his wife, Marilyn Elliott of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Gabe and Becky Elliott of Broken Bow, OK; daughters, Tammy Elliott of Idabel, OK and Ciji Elliott of Paris, TX; grandchildren, Macy Elliott of Broken Bow, OK and Ayiana Elliott and Wadie Elliott both of Idabel, OK; sisters, Lola Keeler and Chuck of Antlers, OK and Vivian Sue Ludlow and Clarence of Lancaster, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
