Obituary of Alene Fuller

Alene Fuller, age 80 passed away quickly after a short illness on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Oklahoma City. She was born on September 15, 1935 near Haworth, OK, the daughter of Ted and Katherine Drucilla (Baxter) Cox. She was retired from the Social Security Administration office in Hugo, OK. Alene was a talented quilter and knew her way around a knitting needle. She was an avid reader and a master solver of crossword puzzles. She was also a devoted backseat contestant of Jeopardy and enjoyed discussing world events and politics, always examining the world with empathy and wisdom. Alene was a devoted mother to her children and gave a mother's love to anyone who needed it at the time. She was a generous woman who put the needs, wants, and dreams of those she loved before her own. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleatus T. Fuller, her sisters, Loree Pierce and Nell Powell, and her brother, Leo Cox. Alene is survived by her daughter Katherine Chance; sons C. Troy Fuller Jr. (Lola), Richard Fuller (Cynthia); sister Hattie Wendt (Joe); brothers, Ted Cox Jr. (Claudean), Lemual Cox (Lu); sisters-in-law Mary Cox, Phebe Heisler, Glad Storey, Seneida Fuller and Maysel Fuller; brothers-in-law, Donnie Powell and Travis Fuller (Flonnie). Alene’s grandchildren are Elizabeth Boone, Misty Chance, Troy Fuller, Russell Chance, Scott Fuller, and Brian Fuller. Her great- grandchildren are Emma, William and Estella Boone; Zoie, Echo and Austin Chance; and Avery, Cavan and Bianca Fuller. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
