Obituary of Cleta Ann Downs Gifford

Cleta Ann Downs Gifford, age 70, of Valliant, OK passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Idabel. She was born on June 3, 1946, in Dumas, TX, the daughter of Ray and Marie Downs. Cleta was a 1965 graduate of Idabel Gray High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing. Cleta was a very giving person and would do anything to help her friends and family. Cleta was a Christian and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Rhonda Gifford and Tammy Gifford; a brother, Willie Loucks; and a niece, Nancy Newton. Cleta is survived by her son, Lynn Gifford; her companion, Kenneth Walls; sisters, Mary McDowell and Barbara Newton (Kenneth); brothers, Jimmy Don Loucks and Bo Sandt; a sister-in-law, Ada Loucks; grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, Jordan, Elijah, Stephanie, Ashley and Alisha; 7 great-grandchildren; friends, Terry and Polly Gifford and Maurine Styles; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
