Obituary of Sammie Lee Hess

Sammie Lee Hess, age 94, passed away on May 2, 2016 in Idabel. He was born on October 15, 1921, in Garvin, OK, the son of David Edward and Sabra Helen Wright Hess. He was a Court Clerk for McCurtain for 28 years. Sam enjoyed playing dominoes, catching catfish and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had lived in the county all his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Sabra Hess; a daughter, Sharon Seay; 4 brothers, and a sister. Sam is survived by his children, Carol Bland and husband, Jim of Dallas, Tx, Gary Hess and wife, Bertha of Garvin, Toby Hess and wife, Angie of Garvin; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends and domino buddies.
