Obituary of Tracy Burl Newton

Tracy Burl Newton, age 48, passed away on April 28, 2016 in Redland. He was born on April 6, 1968, in Quitman, Tx, the son of Burl Dean Newton and Betty Jean Cody. He married his wife, Shelby Tunnell Newton on July, 30, 1988. He was an avid OU Sooners football fan and was able to attend his first OU game last year. He loved his family and friends. His favorite time was spent with his granddaughter, Audrey. He referred to himself as Audrey’s “Happy Pappy.” He was preceded in death by his father, Burl Newton and his mother, Betty Cody. Tracy is survived by his wife, Shelby, of the home; his children, Rhyan Newton and Kari Faber of Durant, OK, Heath and Jodi Newton of Austin, Tx, Alex Newton of Redland, OK; granddaughter, Audrey Newton of Durant, Ok. Brother and sister-in-law, David and Crystal Jones of Union City, Ok; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Jimmy Diggs of Hugo, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
