Obituary of Esther Lee Gray

Esther Lee Gray, age 74 of Hartshorne, OK passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Esther was born on January 17, 1942, in the Marshall Hill Community near Idabel, the daughter of Emerson Parker and Ida (Maytubbie) Davis. She had lived in Hartshorne for over 20 years and had worked at Jones Academy as Home Living Staff since 1997. She was a member of the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church in Idabel and while living in Hartshorne, attended Edgewood United Methodist in Hartshorne. Esther loved sewing, watching her grandchildren, nieces and nephews playing sports and activities. She especially loved caring for her Jones Academy children. She was preceded in death by her father, Emerson Parker; mother, Ida (Maytubbie) Davis, and brothers and sisters, Sara Sue parker, William "Sonny" Jessie, Alec Jessie, Eliza James, Berline Jessie, Virginia Osbourn, Julius Davis Jr., Silas Parker, Gabe Parker, Carolyn Johnson, Kathryn Battiest, Ruby Jessie and Rosalee Harley. Esther is survived by her children and a spouse, Thomas and Mary Gray of Haworth, OK and Rhonda Owens of Union, MO; granddaughters, Hunter Owens and Isabella Gray; grandsons, Dallas Owens, Kirklan Loman and Kristopher Reed; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lenora and Louis Clark of Haworth, OK, Jackie and Arlie K Marris of Hartshorne, OK and Margie and Dale Pollard of Mesquite, TX; nephews, Joe Davis and Tony and Waylon Marris and their extended family; several other special nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
