Obituary of Wynell Wheeler

Wynell Wheeler, age 77, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home in Idabel. She was born on October 16, 1938 in Idabel, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ike Williams and Helen Coffman Strawn. Wynell worked at the Highlander Laundry for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo and making clothes. She was a very talented artist. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon Williams; sister, JoAnn Butler; and a granddaughter, Tita Lee Butler. Wynell is survived by her sons, Bill Wheeler of Salinas, CA and George Strawn of TX; daughters, Glenda Waters of Idabel and Stephanie Cook and Patty Stanberry, both of Boron, CA; sisters, Bonnie Ellis and Sue Bailey, both of Cottage Grove, OR and Kay Dennis of Anchorage, AL; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces; many other relatives and friends. Wynell was cremated and services will be private.
