Obituary of Billy Bookout

Billy Bookout, age 85, passed away on March 19, 2016 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on June 14, 1930, in Hartshorne, OK, the son of Charles B and Johnnye Mae Bookout. He married his wife, Amie on May, 1, 1963 in Clarksville, TX. He was a veteran of the US Army. Before retiring he was the Director of the ASCS office in Idabel and was instrumental in getting aerial views of the local farmland. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Idabel and had lived in McCurtain County for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Phillip Bookout and Roger Bookout; brothers, Barney Bookout and Lothear Bookout; and a sister, Earlene Bookout Maine. Billy is survived by his wife, Amie, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell Bookout of Altus, OK, Mark and Rebecca Bookout of Crowder, OK, Buddy Henthorn and Tommy Henthorn, both of Idabel, OK; daughters and son-in-law, Jill Beth Bookout of Poteau, OK, Mary Joyce Pollard of Wylie, TX, and Debra and Johnny Wilson of Idabel, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Jim Phillips of Hartshorne, OK; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
