Obituary of Nadine Davis

Nadine "BlueBell" Davis, age 81, of Idabel, OK passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Idabel. She was born on November 21, 1934 in the Farmers Hill Community, OK, the daughter of Albert and Rosa Thompson. Nadine worked for Virgil Jumper as a secretary/bookkeeper at the Idabel Cotton Gin. In 1978 she and her husband purchased the Iron Stob Store in the Iron Stob Community. Nadine truly loved operating the store especially meeting and serving the local community. Nadine was a Christian and an avid studier of God's Holy Word. She enjoyed quilting, raising a vegetable garden, fishing and travelling. Nadine was an accomplished homemaker and loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Preston Davis; her parents; a brother, John Albert Thompson; and sisters, Ola Mae Beck and Sarah Thompson. Nadine is survived by her daughters, Sherry Davis Burris, Phyllis Davis Bonner and Kimberly Davis all of Idabel, OK; a grandson, Lance Bonner of Rockwall, TX; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lillie Grace and Finley Bonner; a sister, Cledith Duncan of Alaska; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
