Obituary of Dorothy Lee Whitten

Dorothy Lee Whitten, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Plano, TX. She was born on February 13, 1938 at Paris, TX, the daughter of KY and Bertha Wadford Boyd. Dorothy was a homemaker and worked several years in the cafeteria for the Idabel Public Schools. She enjoyed quilting and playing dominoes with her friends at the Idabel Nutrition Center. Dorothy was a member of the Central Baptist Church and had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ricky Lee Haley; brothers, Robert Boyd and Marvin Boyd; and a sister Ruby Boyd . Dorothy is survived by her husband, Horace Whitten of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Billy Johnson of Idabel; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Brenda Haley of Millsap, TX and Stephen and Darlene Haley of Broken Bow, OK; a sister, Alice Upton of Amarillo, TX; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
