Obituary of Olive Norman

Olive "Buddie" Norman, age 86, of Valliant, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Paris, TX. She was born March 23, 1929 in Fletcher, OK, the daughter of Charlie and Mazie Harrel. Buddie was a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening. Buddie worked for the Valliant Public Schools for several years. She was a faithful member of the Felker Freewill Baptist Church and truly loved going to Church. Buddie had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. Buddie was a devoted Christian and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Norman; a granddaughter, Amy Christian; brothers, Jack Harrel and Wilbur Harrel; and sisters, Irma Watts, Grace Stacks and Helen Boucher. Buddie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Norman of Valliant, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Polly and Jackie Monk of Garvin, OK and Lena Mae and Keith Christian of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Cammie Scroggins and Brian, Wynn Norman and Amanda, Whitney Morris and DeWayne, Tina Ivey, JJ Monk and April, Dakota Christian and Jennifer and Shane Christian and Katie; great-grandchildren, Emmlie Scroggins, Colton Scroggins, Zellie Norman, Cord Norman, Elijah Norman, Cody Morris, Cutter Morris, Lizzie Morris, Clayton Ivey, Jolee Ivey, Jaylyn Monk and Ashtyn Christian; several nieces, nephews, numerous other family members and friends.
