Obituary of Gwen Goree

Gwendalon Lea (Gwen) Henry Goree passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Edmond’s OU Medical Center. She was born February 16, 1958 at Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Reed Virgil Henry and Elma Whitfield Henry Severn, maternal grandparents, Dude & Velma Kelley Monday, her aunt Luvada Monday Garrison and uncle Shelby Monday, cousin Steven Monday, brother Randall Keith Henry, niece's Trista Henry and Kayla Henry. She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Lee Goree, his daughters, Rylee Grace and McKenzie Ann; Joshua Lee Goree, and his son, John Ryan Goree. Also surviving is her mother, Juanita Monday Rogers, and her father, Gene Henry and wife, Sarah. She is also survived by her sisters Lisa and Bruce Worth, daughter Daniella Worth, Tasha and Josh Gaston, children Lincoln and Tinsley Gaston, and brothers Theron Henry, daughter Dylan Henry, Raifel and Lorrie Henry, children, Brian, Randall, Skylar, Hannah and Hansen Henry, Jacky Glen and Cindy Stanley, children Alexis & Anthony Stanley, Richard Alan Ashcraft, children Eric, Megan, Kevin & Sky Ashcraft; and uncle OJ Monday. She is also survived by many cousins. She cherished most her relationship with God, her grandchildren, and we can’t forget her Yorkies , Stoner, Bella and Peaches. She loved to listen to Arnold Murray, of Gravette, AR and Shepard’s Chapel. She loved Candy Crush, classic rock and roll, all animals, and watching The Young and the Restless with her mom. Pallbearers are Joshua Goree, Jeremy Goree, Raifel Henry, Theron Henry, OJ Monday, and Richard Garrison. Visitation is Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the White Family Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery to follow.
