Obituary of Eva Edith Horn

Eva Edith Horn, age 91 longtime Haworth area resident passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Texarkana, TX. She was born on July 11, 1924 in the Union Grove Community, OK the daughter of Lloyd and Ellen Armer Counts. Edith was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, quilting and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived in Ashdown, AR since 2001. Edith was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hershel Horn; a daughter, Reba Clark; and a sister, Claudia Clayton. Edith is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Baker of Ashdown, AR, Billie and Tom Kelley of Texarkana, TX, Darlis and Cliff Clay of Hideaway, TX and Carmen and Clarence Strube of Ashdown, AR; son-in-law, Bobby Baker Sr. of Mansfield, LA; sister-in-law, Inez Lacy of Foreman, AR; a special friend, Rhonda Russell of Ashdown, AR; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the White Family Chapel with Chaplain Brad Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at the Tom Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
