Obituary of Nathan Holt

Nathan "Sonny" Holt, age 66 passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on September 15, 1948 in Battiest, OK, the son of the late Joel Holt and Selma Maytobe Holt. He was a veteran of the US Army and served two tours during the Vietnam War. Sonny worked as an auto mechanic. He was an avid fan of the OU Sooners and the Dallas Mavericks. Sonny loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Eugene Holt, Paul Kelly Holt, Nathaniel Holt and Bert Holt; a niece, Dyan Elliott; and a nephew, Ira H. Holt. Sonny leaves to cherish his memory sons, Shane Holt, Scott Holt and Joel Ryan Holt and Amber; a granddaughter, Alaysia Holt; a grandson, Jorge Serrano; brothers, Joel W Holt of Octavia, OK, Alan and Beth Holt of Shadick, OK and Melvin and Donna Maytubbi of Midwest City, OK; sisters, Mona Salinas of Durant, OK, Lorene Lajeunesse of Idabel, OK and Margaret and DeRoy McKinney of Haworth, OK; mother of his sons, Carol Holt of Idaho; special friends, Bobbie Stapp of Idabel, OK, Jimmie and Matilda Paxton of Valliant, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 20125 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Stanley Shomo officiating. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery.
