Obituary of Marcie Faye Dunning

Marcie Faye Dunning, age 81, of the Holly Creek Community, OK, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Idabel, OK. She was born on March 23, 1934 in the Willow Springs Community, OK, the daughter of John H. Farley and Euna Bloodworth Farley. Marcie was an accomplished homemaker. She enjoyed bird watching, crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. She had a keen interest in politics and world events and loved discussing them with her friends and family. She was a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel and served as a longtime Sunday School Secretary. She had a strong faith that she instilled in her three daughters. Marcie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and would often say how proud she was of all her children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas E. Dunning Jr. in 2002; sisters, Edith Napier and Dorothy Tipton; and brothers, Victor Farley and Olen Farley. Marcie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ronald Hignight of Idabel, Michelle and Kevin Bryant of the Holly Creek Community and Melanie and Gabriel Jim of Canton, MI; brother and sister-in-law, John Paul Farley and Naomi of Idabel; a sister, Mildred Tipton of Idabel; grandchildren, Kate Hankins, Sarah Hignight, Kristen Bryant, Rachel Bryant, Eva, Eli, Victoria and Millie Jim; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Doug Clements officiating. Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Broken Bow, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
