Obituary of James Pond

James Daniel Pond, age 61, of Tom, OK, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Texarkana, TX. He was born July 21, 1953 at Foreman, AR, the son of James Walter and Mary Laverne White Pond. James worked in construction as a painter for many years. He was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Hoover; brother, Earl Pond; and a son, James Richard Pond. James is survived by his son, Jesse Smith of Idabel, OK; daughter, Dianna Steffens and husband, Jason, of Garland, TX; brothers, J.W. Pond and wife, Janet, of Dierks, AR, Paul Pond and wife, Sherry, of Dallas, TX, Robert Pond of Tom, OK, Walter Pond and wife, Linda of Idabel, OK and Mark Pond and wife, Gwen of Broken Bow, OK; sisters Zora “Sissie” Lovewell of Foreman, AR, Mattie “Tincey” Lovewell of Tom, OK; and Martha "Tootlem" Braddock and husband, Jerry, of Cookville, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman, AR with Bro. Troy Ridge officiating.
