Obituary of Sharon Johnson

Sharon Johnson, age 71 passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on April 29, 1943 in Herrington, KS. Sharon was an accomplished homemaker and a wonderful cook. A member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel, she was strong in her Faith and it kept her going through her health issues and other trials she faced. Sharon enjoyed crossword puzzles and camping. She also loved traveling and the family remembers the many vacations they took over the years. Sharon had lived in Idabel since 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Johnson; father, Jim Wrye; mother, Dolly Zolla Vernon Wrye; step-mother, Claretta Wrye; a son, William Johnson; infant son and daughter, Michael and Michelle; her grandson, Blaine Johnson; and sisters, Erma Stark and Norma Jackson. Sharon is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Johnson and Jay and Renee Johnson all of Idabel, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Russell McDaniel of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Zak Johnson, Sydni Johnson, Jason Bean and Casie, Joshua Bean, Cameron McDaniel, Redeana Barcus, Racheal Williamson, Reesha Eidson, Renea McDaniel, Rance McDaniel, Janae Johnson and Jayna Johnson; brothers, Duane Wrye of Ohio and Truman Wrye of Missouri; numerous great-grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Andy Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the funeral home.
