Obituary of Helen Skieens

Helen Skieens, of Valliant went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 4, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. in her home at the age of 82 years and 5 days. She was born April 28, 1925 in Atoka, the daughter of Carl L. and Eula Mae Smith Norman. Helen was retired nurse’s aide having worked in Civil Service for the U.S. Government for several years. She enjoyed gardening shopping, reading, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Skieens; and a brother, Bill Norman. She leaves to cherish her memory step-sons, Conley Skieens, and James Skieens both of Washington State; a step-daughter, Dara Hunt of California; sisters and brother-in-law, Carlene and Jesse Smith of Valliant, and Jimmie Kelly of Emory, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
