Obituary of David Clampet

David Clampet, age 65, of Haworth, OK passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Idabel, OK. He was born on July 18, 1949 at Idabel, OK, the son of Larnel and Barbara Ann Hughes Clampet. David was a 1968 graduate of Haworth High School. David worked as an electrician. He was retired from Brown and Root and had worked on many power plant and paper mill construction jobs all over the country. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 6 years. David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching westerns. David was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved being with his family and taking his grandchildren fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 4 infant brothers, Larry, James, Kevin and Stanley. David is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kerri Clampet of Haworth, OK; daughter, Lindsay Clark of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Laney Clampet, Zayne Clampet and Clinton Clark; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Sherry Clampet of Haworth, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Doug Ireland of Stillwater, OK and Linda and Jerry Allen of DeKalb, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Pollard Cemetery with Aubrey Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
