Obituary of Mary Ellen Pettigrew

Mary Ellen Pettigrew, 82, of Texarkana, TX, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at her home. She was born October 21, 1932, in Idabel, OK. She was retired from Smith-Blair, a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Ln., and a member of the Spice Dancers. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Brooks; three brothers, W.D. Scott, Jr., Atwell Scott, and Joe Scott; and one sister, Loraine Turner. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Neff; two sisters, Flora Bell Donaldson and Bettye Shockley; her grandchildren, Mary Kennedy, Scot and Windy Neff, Stephanie and Buddy Weisinger, and Chuck and Kelley Brooks; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Monday, February 16, 2015, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, TX, and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at White Family Funeral Home, Idabel, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at White Family Funeral Home Chapel, Idabel, OK. Burial will follow in Denison Cemetery, Idabel, OK.
