Obituary of Joe Clardy

Joe Clardy, 91, of Idabel, passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 at Idabel. He was born October 25, 1915 in Waxahachie, Texas the son of Bob and Lucy Ann Crow Clardy. Joe was a Church of Christ Preacher for over 45 years. He ministered at many of the area Churches. Joe was a talented carpenter, a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Joe touched many lives during his lifetime and was great friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geraldine; a daughter, Norma Ausmus; sisters, Viola Woods and Ruby Woods; and a brother, Jessie B. Clardy. Joe is survived by a son, Danny Clardy of Idabel; a son-in-law, Bill Ausmus of Idabel; grandchildren and spouses, Brent Clardy, and Bryan Clardy both of Idabel, Jeff and Kenda Ausmus of Owasso, Jerri Thomas of Springfield, Missouri, Kyle Ausmus of West Virginia, and Kim and Wes Nichols of Springfield, Missouri; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the By-Pass Church of Christ in Idabel with Dick Logan and Steve Ensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial tributes can be sent to the family at www.conley-whitefuneralhome.com.
