Obituary of Verna Mae Davenport

Verna Mae Davenport passed away on October 12, 2014 at the age of 77. She was born on January 7, 1937 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Dixon Dwight and Bessie Mitchell Dwight. Verna Mae was the beloved wife of John Howard. Verna Mae worked for Boeing Aircraft for many years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Ivan Jumper, Jr. Verna Mae is survived by her husband, John Howard of Defiance, MO; two sons, Edward Jumper and William Davenport both of Defiance, MO; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery. A wake service will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
