Obituary of Alvin Loucks

Alvin "Al" Loucks, age 77, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his home in the Goodwater Community, OK. He was born September 19, 1936 in Forrestburg, TX, the son of John Henry Loucks and Nancy Mae Owens Loucks. Al was a retired roofing contractor. He enjoyed playing poker with friends and taking care of his yard. Al was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following the Texas Rangers. He attended church at the Haworth Assembly of God and was recently baptized. Al had made McCurtain County his home for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirlene Loucks; a son, Brandon Loucks; twin daughters, Connie and Ronnie; a granddaughter, Katelynn Loucks; and a brother, Bill Loucks. Al leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ira Loucks of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Janet Loucks of the Goodwater Community, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Tommy Jackson of Tom, OK, Karen and Keith Donaldson of Idabel, OK, Annette and Troy Bullard of Haskell, OK and Kristy Loucks of Idabel, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Julia Loucks of Merkle, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maggie and Donnie Ferrell, Treva and Frank Owens, Pearl Taylor and Patricia Morris all of Woodward, OK; a sister-in-law, Irene Whiteman of the Goodwater Community; grandchildren, Tori Gardner, Matthew and Betsy Frunk, Jason Frunk, Tony and Marie Loucks, Brandy Frunk and Cameron Williams, Kolt Donaldson, Kyler Donaldson, Emery Faulks and Jakobi Loucks; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro Jason Smith and Bro Horton McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at the Redland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
