Obituary of Marie Ayers

Marie Ayers, age 86 of Sawyer, OK passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Hugo, OK She was born on October 27, 1927 in Kauffman, TX, the daughter of William and Arizona Record Spencer. Marie was a homemaker and had lived her whole life in this area. She enjoyed fishing and camping and was affiliated with the Baptist Faith. Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Marie is survived by her husband, Cecil Ayers of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Earl McGowen of Idabel, OK, Patricia and Dennis Ray of Sawyer, OK and Jeanette and Tommy Burris of the Hollycreek Community, OK; grandchildren, Raymond McGowen, Laura Wimberly, Steven McGowen, Kim Spencer, Brian Burris and Carrie Lockwood; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hollycreek Cemetery with Bro. Tim Jones officiating.
