Obituary of Charlie G. Jones

Charlie G. Jones Jr., age 68, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his home in Sacramento, CA. He was born on June 15, 1945 in Idabel, OK, the son of Charley G. Jones Sr. and Louellon Hudspeth Jones. Charlie was a 1963 graduate of Idabel Gray High School where he was a proud member of the marching band. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. After being discharged from the Air Force he settled in Sacramento, CA where he worked for the City of Sacramento for over 30 years. In his spare time Charlie enjoyed panning for gold and working on race cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Cary Pugh. Charlie is survived by his son, Paul Jones and Connie of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Caroline Jones of Idabel, OK; his grandson, Josh Jones of San Antonio, TX; a special friend who he helped raise, Amber Nice and Tom of Sacramento, CA; nephews, Jerry Pugh and Larry Pugh both of Idabel, OK; several great-nieces, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
