Obituary of Anna Jean Kupke

Anna Jean Kupke, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Haworth, OK, the daughter of William Eli and Floy Culpernia Ray Voyles. Anna Jean married Luther Kupke on March 29, 1950 in DeQueen, AR. All who knew Anna Jean were blessed by her quick wit and her deep and abiding faith. Anna Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel. She loved the Lord, his Word and her family. She was a faithful homemaker who loved sewing for her family and raising African violets. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Randall Watkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dick and Martha Logan and Keefer and Naomi Farris and brother, Clell Voyles. Anna Jean is survived by her husband of 64 years, Luther Kupke of the home; her children, Bobbi Ray and Cathy Kupke of Jacksonville, TX, James and Denise Heathman of Idabel, OK and Valerie Watkins of Idabel, OK; siblings, Wayne and Sue Warren of Broken Bow, OK and Joe and Dianne Voyles of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Michael and Angelia Mason, Joshua and Krystal Kupke, David Kupke, Amanda Kupke, Rebecca Heathman, Daniel and Sylvia Watkins and Lucas Eli Watkins; 8 great-grandchildren, Ian, Heather, Justin, Lee, Lilly, Dani, Skyler and Grayson; brothers-in-law, Fred Kupke of Torrence, CA and Bitsy Kupke of Haworth, OK ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Otis Cayton, Bro. Joe Voyles and Wayne Warren officiating. Interment will follow at the Redland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
