Obituary of William Monroe Vandiver

William Vandiver, age 73, exchanged earthly life for his eternal life on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on February 27, 1941 in Tom, OK, the son of Norman B. and Evelyn Pond Vandiver. William was a truck driver and had retired from McBride Trucking. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. William loved his family, especially his grandchildren who were a big part of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children, Brenda Vandiver; and sisters, Patricia Aiken and Sandra Carlstead. William is survived by his loving and devoted spouse, Judy Gammon of Idabel, OK; sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Stacie Vandiver of Winthrop, AR and Norman and Ashley Vandiver of Idabel, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and David Cox of Idabel, OK and Kristie and AJ Fennell of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Levi Sparkman, Zoe Cox, Quaed Cox, Katelyn Cox, RJ Anderson, Colten Vandiver and Braylen Vandiver; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Edward Pitt and Mary and Kenneth Alford all of Moon, OK and Caroline Ford of Irving, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman Vandiver Jr. and Peggy of Longview, TX and Perry and Vickie Vandiver of Arden, AR; several nieces, nephews, other loved ones and many friends. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Cole Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman, AR. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
