Obituary of Raymond Lawler

Raymond Lawler, age 90 of Haworth, OK passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Paris, TX. He was born near Haworth, OK on January 6, 1924, the son of Calhoun and Ader Jones Lawler. Raymond worked at many things including pipelining and ranching. He was a very hard worker and a good provider for his family. A devout Christian he was a member of the Haworth Church of Christ. Raymond was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather and good friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Thompson; brothers, Leonard Lawler, Odie "Shine" Lawler, Givens Lawler and Leon Lawler; and a sister, Jewel Sullivan. Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 70 years, Kathleen Lawler of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Holmes of Haworth, OK; son-in-law, Aubrey Thompson of the Pollard Community; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Leslie Williams of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Jamie and P.J. Womack of Millerton, OK, Alesha and Larry "Chop" Helms of the Pollard Community, DeeDee Thompson of DeKalb, TX and Donny and Jennifer Holmes of Preston, MD; great-grandchildren and spouses, Hannah Holmes, Zac and Jennifer Bishop, Josh and Sarah Bishop, Laurie Smith, Magan Helms and Rusty Helms; great-great-grandchildren, Blakely Bishop, Hadleigh Bishop, Boone Bishop, Tyler Smith, Titus Smith, and Bailey Smith; special friends, Pat and Debbie Hensley; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Haworth Church of Christ with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.
