Obituary of Geraldine Jordan

Geraldine “Sis” Jordan, age 78, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born April 21, 1935 at Millerton, OK, the daughter of William Vernon Stuart and Mattie Viola Hendricks Stuart. Geraldine married Paul Jordan in DeQueen, AR on June 21, 1952. Geraldine was a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was known as “Sis” by family and friends and “Honey” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine was a member of Garvin Baptist Church and lived in Garvin most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, her brothers Travis, Odell, and Neal Stuart, brother-in-law Reg Jordan, and sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Cogburn and Tommie Holman. Geraldine is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Paula Wilson and husband Thomas of Texarkana, TX; Frankie Oswell and husband Jerry Dale of Garvin, OK; Jamie Norfleet and husband Randy of Texarkana, TX; granddaughters, Catherine Rogers and husband T.J. of Garvin, OK; Andrea Skelton and husband Mo of Idabel, OK; Rachel Riddle and husband Andrew of Idabel, OK; Jacqueline Trammell and husband Jon of Texarkana, TX; Jordan Blount and husband Josh of Goose Creek, SC; and Morgan Norfleet of Texarkana, TX; grandsons, Matthew and Paul Norfleet of Texarkana, TX; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Stuart and wife Janice of Millerton, OK; V.O. Stuart and wife Beverly of Idabel, OK; sisters-in-law, Doris Farmer of Longview, TX, and Judy Stuart Hall of Valliant, OK; brothers-in-law, Jack and wife Kathy of Canton, TX and Arnie Jordan of Broken Bow, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at White Family Funeral Home in Idabel. Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Garvin Baptist Church Garvin, OK. Interment will follow at the Garvin Cemetery.
